For some students it involves mastering an algebra problem, passing a comprehension test, reading a multi-syllable word, spelling a word correctly, figuring out a word problem independently, arguing less with parents, reading a chapter book for the first time, writing in an agenda book, or simply making and keeping a friend. All students have strengths and weaknesses, and each student has a different timeline for mastery. Our job is to respect that process that while progressively training those skills that will empower our youth.
